Kia Ora
My name is Melissa and I am the Head teacher in the Mahoe room.
I have worked at ICCC since 2009, but have been teaching since 2004 and hold a Bachelor of Teaching ECE.
I, along with my parents and 3 older sisters, have always lived in the Inglewood community. I have 3 nieces and a nephew and we are a very close family, in fact my sister Leonie works here too. I have been involved in marching my whole life and really love watching and playing sports. Music, movies and travelling are also huge interests of mine!
I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was very young and finally after exploring journalism I got to do what I’ve always wanted. My passion is with the infants and toddlers and this is where I see myself being for quite some time as I love how each day is completely different, but still with the same beautiful little smiling faces.
I love meeting new people and really look forward to getting to know all the families/whānau that attend the centre.
